About the role You will focus on automation software engineering and commissioning, ensuring that product functionalities meet specific customer requirements. The role involves a mix of office-based design work and hands-on testing and optimization at various international locations. Work tasks A comprehensive role involving the full lifecycle of automation software, from TIA Portal design to on-site commissioning and system troubleshooting. - Design and develop automation software solutions using Siemens TIA Portal - Execute international customer commissioning and after-sales service work - Commission Siemens F-PLC (S7-1500 safety) and HMI/SCADA systems - Perform I/O checks and field-device testing during system startup - Validate safety functions, control sequences, interlocks, and alarms - Troubleshoot PLC/HMI software, electrical signals, and communication networks - Document software changes, backups, test results, and commissioning progress We are looking for - Knowledge of Siemens F-PLC S7-1500 and TIA Portal - Experience with WinCC or Siemens HMI/SCADA (AVEVA) systems - Understanding of industrial networks including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and OPC UA - Experience with SINAMICS drives and industrial field devices - Ability to read electrical drawings, I/O lists, and P&IDs - Good English communication and customer-service skills. Fluency in Finnish is considered an advantage. - Technical degree or qualification in automation or control engineering - Willingness to travel internationally (20-80%) for site work - Advanced troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills A valid work permit for Finland is required.   Our recruitment process This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work and it is our clients wish that all questions regarding the position is directed to Academic Work.
