Layout Design Engineer

About the role As a Lead Layout Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end layout design of substation components. You will work within a specialized electromechanical team, ensuring technical precision from initial 3D modeling to final installation supervision. You are offered a flexible hybrid work model, and the opportunity to work in a highly specialized team of 20 professionals on large-scale projects. Work tasks This role entails full responsibility for substation layout design, including 2D/3D modeling, cross-functional coordination, and periodic on-site installation supervision. - Execute comprehensive 2D and 3D layout designs for substation projects - Manage the strategic placement of components within the substation area - Lead technical collaboration with field, magnetic, and noise study departments - Provide on-site installation supervision for approximately 4-6 weeks per year - Utilize SolidWorks and Autodesk Revit for advanced mechanical modeling - Support the team's transition to Revit and BIM-integrated workflows - Take independent ownership of design tasks at a Lead Engineer level We are looking for - Degree in Mechanical Engineering - Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks CAD or Autodesk Revit - Experience in layout design for substation components or similar - Willingness to travel for on-site installation supervision tasks - Ability to lead engineering tasks independently It is meritorious if you have - BIM (Building Information Modeling) expertise - Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit transitions Our recruitment process This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work and it is our clients wish that all questions regarding the position is directed to Academic Work.
