Enterprise Architect, Infrastructure, Networks & Cloud Do you want to shape the technical future of one of Finlands largest and most diverse IT environments? We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join Kesko IT and take architectural responsibility for infrastructure, networks, capacity and cloud services. In this role, strategic enterprise architecture meets strong technical understanding. You will act as a key architectural thought leader, ensuring that our infrastructure solutions support business objectives, technology renewal, cost efficiency and the continuous development of our services. We are looking for a strategic architect with credible technical depth. What will you do? In this role, you will lead and develop the overall architecture of our infrastructure domain. You will ensure that technical guidelines, architectural principles and roadmaps form a clear, long-term and business-driven foundation for development. Your key responsibilities include: - Leading and maintaining the overall infrastructure architecture across data centers, networks in datacenters and retail store sites, servers, capacity and cloud. - Building and maintaining a long-term infrastructure roadmap and target architectures that considers capacity predictability, technology lifecycle, cost efficiency and service continuity. - Guiding architectural decisions together with business IT, other architects, expert teams and partners. - Evaluating and designing solutions in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with Azure as a key cloud platform and AWS expertise as an important part of the overall capability. - Ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, cost-efficient and aligned with common architecture principles. - Acting as a technical sparring partner and challenger for experts, architects, service teams and suppliers. - Modelling, documenting and justifying architectural decisions from both technical and business perspectives. What kind of expertise are we looking for? You are an experienced architect who can combine technical seniority, enterprise architecture thinking and close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders. You can understand broad and complex environments, while also having the technical credibility to discuss solutions with experts, suppliers and decision-makers. We expect you to have strong understanding of several of the following areas: - Cloud and hybrid architectures: Azure, AWS, landing zones, identity models, monitoring, migrations and service modernization. - Infrastructure as Code and automation: Terraform, modular environment structures, version control, release processes and automation in infrastructure management. - Server and virtualization architecture: VMware environments, ESXi, vCenter, cluster structures, scalability, resilience, and Linux and Windows server architectures. - Data center, core and branch networks: routing, switching, segmentation, EVPN/VXLAN-type solutions, firewalls, DDI, SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, 802.1X, NAC, SASE, ZTNA and VRF. - Capacity and lifecycle management: performance, scalability, cost models, technology lifecycle and dependency management. We also value your ability to make complex technical topics understandable for business and management decision-making, guide technical choices, and act as the architectural owner of solutions. Experience from retail, large international IT environments or other environments where reliability, scalability and cost efficiency have major business impact is considered an advantage.
