Kuvaus
At Bluefors, we are passionate about enabling the future of scientific discovery and quantum technology. As the world leader in ultra-low temperature measurement systems, we provide researchers and quantum computing companies with the tools they need to push the boundaries of innovation.
We are looking for a Radio Frequency Engineer to join our Quantum & Measurement team on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced RF and microwave solutions for quantum computing applications and cryogenic measurement systems. Working alongside experienced engineers and scientists, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise to real-world challenges and see your work rapidly transition into solutions used by leading organizations around the world.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their engineering career, as well as for a recent graduate or Master's degree student nearing completion of their studies, who is looking to gain hands-on experience in one of the world's fastest-growing technology fields.
As a Radio Frequency Engineer, you will support the design, development, and testing of microwave and high-density interconnect solutions for quantum computing and cryogenic measurement applications. You will work on RF prototypes, participate in laboratory testing and performance analysis, and contribute to the continuous development of technologies that enable next-generation quantum systems.
Your responsibilities will include designing and simulating RF solutions, developing test methodologies, analyzing measurement data, documenting technical work, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across Bluefors. Depending on your interests and experience, you may also contribute to scientific publications and intellectual property development.
What we expect from you
* Master's degree (completed or in progress), or PhD, in Electrical Engineering, Radio Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
* Some practical experience with RF assemblies (coaxial cables, flexible printed circuits, amplifiers, non-reciprocal devices, GHz-range analog systems), gained through work, internships, or thesis projects
* Familiarity with microwave test and measurement, and with data analysis in Python or a similar language
* Working knowledge of circuit simulation and layout tools (e.g. Keysight ADS, CST, AWR, Sonnet, Altium)
* Strong analytical skills and a willingness to take ownership of technical problems - Good communication skills and fluency in English
We also appreciate
* Experience with cryogenic measurement techniques
* Prior experience in quantum technology, aerospace, wireless/IoT, scientific instrumentation, or similar high-tech sectors
* Experience publishing scientific articles or contributing to patents
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment
* Knowledge of modern product development and project management practices
* Familiarity with computational methods and multi-physics simulations
Please apply as soon as possible, on September 13, 2026, at the latest through our recruitment system at BLUEFORS.COM. We will review applications on an ongoing basis, and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
