Finance Manager

We are looking for a FINANCE MANAGER FOR EXPLORE THE NORTH Explore The North is a fast-growing hospitality group operating a unique portfolio of lodges and hotels in Swedish and Finnish Lapland. The company focuses on authentic Arctic experiences, combining accommodation, gastronomy, activities and nature-based hospitality in some of the most spectacular regions of Northern Scandinavia. The portfolio currently consists of eight distinctive lodges and hotels: Kaamos Lodge Lapland View Lodge Pinetree Lodge Arctic River Lodge Grand Arctic Resort Matarengi Lodge Aurora Mountain Lodge Valkea Lodge The group also includes Northworks, which handles all back-office operations and where the management team is now employed. We are looking for a strong, hands-on Finance Manager with experience in both Swedish and Finnish business. You will work closely with the CEO and report directly to him. You will also manage a team of three key finance professionals. This is what we expect from you: Take responsibility (either directly or through your team) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the companys financial strategy and hiring needs Coordinate the development of annual operating, capital, and programme budgets, along with the related reporting Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action This is what you will get from us: Be part of a great team where ideas become reality. Qualifications: Essential requirements: Previous work within finance with good references. Experience in both Swedish and Finnish business. Desirable requirements: Hotel and travel industry knowledge. Place of work: Employed by our Swedish company but work can be both in one of our locations or distance from home. If needed we can help search for accommodation and share contacts. APPLICATION Candidates should have relevant experience in finance and management, preferably within hotels or hospitality, though this is not a requirement. A strong understanding of both the Swedish and Finnish financial environments is essential.
