We are now looking for a Head of Student Services to lead and develop Xamk's student services. Your primary workplace can be located at any of our campuses. The position is permanent and full-time. The employment will begin on 4 January 2027, or as agreed. A probationary period will be applied. What is this role about? In this role, you will lead the student and admissions services expert team, consisting of planners and student service advisors. You will act as the supervisor of more than 20 professionals and support their success in everyday work. The employees in your team work across Xamks campuses in Kotka, Kouvola, Mikkeli and Savonlinna. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and smooth operation of key student administration processes, including: - student admissions, - study right management, - enrolment processes, and - graduation processes. The role also offers an opportunity to develop digital student administration services and processes. Your closest colleagues will be managers from other support functions, and you will work closely with academic units and educational leadership across the university of applied sciences. We require a relevant master's degree and several years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role. We expect knowledge of the Finnish university of applied sciences sector and higher education administration, excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, excellent Finnish language skills, and good written and spoken English skills. We also consider the following an advantage: - the Finnish Educational Administration Qualification (OAJ/OHJ equivalent), and - studies in higher education administration and leadership.
