**Employer:** Ravintola Vietologie **Location:** Runeberginkatu 59, Töölö, Helsinki **Employment Type:** Full-time, Permanent / Indefinite Contract (Kokoaikainen / Toistaiseksi voimassa oleva) **Working Hours:** Full-time (approx. 37.5–40 hours per week), 5 shifts per week, ~7–9 hours per shift **Salary:** In accordance with the PAM Collective Agreement (PR2, Pay scale 2 / Palkkaryhmä 2) **Start Date:** As soon as possible / by agreement Work Tasks As a full-time Kitchen Worker at Vietologie, you will play an essential role in running our daily kitchen operations. Your responsibilities include maintaining consistent food quality, workflow efficiency, and pristine hygiene standards: - **Daily Food Preparation (Prep Work):** Scaling, washing, peeling, slicing, chopping, and portioning fresh vegetables, herbs, meats, and other essential ingredients according to traditional Vietnamese recipes and strict presentation standards. - **Station Setup & Line Support:** Setting up and fully stocking cooking stations before service, monitoring ingredient levels on the line during rush hours, and assisting with plating and assembling dishes efficiently for lunch and dinner service. - **Dishwashing & Equipment Care:** Operating the commercial dishwasher and hand-washing specialized kitchen tools. Ensuring a continuous, rapid supply of clean pots, pans, bowls, utensils, and serving ware for both the kitchen and front-of-house. - **Kitchen Hygiene & Deep Cleaning:** Taking ownership of the cleanliness across all kitchen areas. Routinely cleaning and sanitizing workstations, countertops, cooking appliances, and floors to ensure strict compliance with Finnish food safety regulations (Omavalvonta/self-monitoring standards). - **Stock Control & Inventory Management:** Receiving and unpacking ingredient deliveries, inspecting items for absolute quality and freshness, and organizing walk-ins and dry storage areas using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to minimize food waste. Requirements & Skills - **Languages:** Fluent spoken Vietnamese is required. Because our high-paced kitchen line relies on rapid verbal coordination to guarantee workplace safety and flawless tracking of severe food allergens, the candidate must be fully fluent in Vietnamese, which is the operational language of the existing kitchen team. - **Experience:** Previous experience in a professional restaurant kitchen or food preparation environment is expected. - **Key Attributes:** You are energetic, quick on your feet, highly organized, punctual, and looking for a stable, long-term full-time career in a team environment. - **Certifications:** A valid Finnish Hygiene Passport (_Hygieniapassi_) is required (or must be obtained within 3 months of starting). - **Permit Status:** We welcome applications from candidates who require employer sponsorship for a Finnish Residence Permit for an Employed Person (TTOL), as well as those who already hold a local right to work.
