Senior Fullstack Developer, remote work

About the role As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you will lead the modernization of our client's ERP system, transitioning legacy Java/GWT interfaces into modern React applications. Operating in a tight-knit, two-person team, you will leverage advanced agent-driven development tools. You are offered the opportunity to work 100% remotely on a long-term, stable project. You will have the creative freedom to pioneer agent-based AI development workflows and play a key role in modernizing a business-critical system. Work tasks Modernizing a legacy ERP system by transitioning it to a React and Java-based architecture, utilizing agent-based development methods to implement views, design APIs, and build supporting developer tools. - Build and modernize ERP views, including search interfaces, editors, and dialogs using React - Design and implement robust REST APIs to support the new frontend architecture - Refactor legacy Java/GWT user interfaces into a modern React-based application - Develop tools and validation checks to keep agent-driven development processes on track We are looking for - Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and React - Practical experience working daily with agentic development methods like Claude Code - Proven ability to read, refactor, and navigate large legacy codebases - Strong eye for UI/UX design with the ability to identify and fix visual inconsistencies - Professional proficiency in English It is meritorious if you have - Good knowledge of Java and REST APIs - Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or spatial data analysis - Experience with cloud services, specifically AWS - Professional proficiency in Finnish - Experience building business-critical ERP systems Our recruitment process This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work and it is our clients wish that all questions regarding the position is directed to Academic Work.
